We intend to make the above-named order, to:

revise the car park tariffs and season ticket charges applicable to car parks as approved by the Climate Transition, Corporate and Environmental Services Policy Advisory Committee on 17 December 2025

Notice is hereby given that Maidstone Borough Council intend to make the above order under section 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, having obtained the consent of the Kent County Council in accordance with Section 39(3) of the Act, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act -

The order will;
Revise the current tariffs contained in the schedules to the above order as shown in the tables below.

A copy of the made order, any orders which will be amended by the proposed orders, a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the orders, and indicating the location and effect may be examined on our website from Friday, 6 February 2026.

You can object in writing to the Parking Services Manager at the address below. You must state the order name and your reasons for objection. You can also email it to parkingconsultations@maidstone.gov.uk. Objections must be received by 12 noon on Monday, 2 March 2026. Indications of support for the proposals are welcome and should be sent to the same address.
