Car Park Locations

About our Car Parks

There are 20 car parks and 12 on-street parking areas throughout Maidstone.

All car parks are pay and display. Lockmeadow is free after 6.30pm everyday and all day Sunday.

On-street bays are free every day from 6pm to 8am and all day on Sundays.

There is no change to the charges for bank holidays.

All car parks are enforced daily.

If a machine is out of service, please use an alternative machine (where available within the car park).

Where a pay and display machine is not available payment must be made using cashless parking provided by RingGo by calling 01622 260190 or using their app.

Please note that you may not park without payment of the parking charge.

Cashless Parking

RingGo

All of our car parks now have the facility to pay for parking via the RingGo smartphone app or by phone; this:

  • Speeds up the payment process
  • Removes the chance of ‘face down’ parking tickets leading to penalty charges and
  • Allows you to extend your stay when away from your vehicle

Civil Enforcement Officers receive live payment information for more accurate enforcement. However pay and display machines will remain in place for customers who can't use RingGo.

You can opt n and out of additional service for example text reminders.

Optional services may include additional charges. You'll be charged 20p:

  • For a time expiry reminder. You'd get this about 10 minutes before your time runs out
  • For confirmation your session has started
  • On top of the tariff you've selected to extend your parking time

You can change your options at any time by phone, by using the RingGo website or by using the Android or iPhone app.

Updating your options on the app:

Go to my account and update your options by changing your preferences using the sliders on the right hand side of the screen.

RingGo app settings

For help using the RingGo service, please visit their website.

The RingGo app is available for download on both Apple and Android devices.

Electric Car Charging Stations

The on-street bays on County Road now have charging stations for electric cars but are not maintained by Maidstone Borough Council. You still need to pay to park at those bays.
