Major licence variations
Major changes to a licence involve significant updates to existing paperwork. This could include:
- increasing the number, breeds, or species of animal on the licence
- changes to the facilities or accommodation used for the animals
- expanding the premises
Inspections
If a major change is needed, we will need to arrange an inspection. An inspector will visit the premises to review the updated procedures and records.
Costs
We will charge £130 per request. The costs cover the time spent by our officers handling the request and the new certificate.
Request a change
We will need to know:
- the licence number
- details about the licence holder
- information about your premises
- what you would like to change
To update details about animal accommodation, you will need to provide floor plans that include:
- accommodation dimensions
- details of the materials used to build it
What happens next
We will contact you within ten working days of receiving your application to explain the next steps.
