Our Customer Services team are based in the Maidstone Link, formerly the Gateway. This Maidstone Link sees Customer Services working under the same roof as the Maidstone Job Centre Plus and Maidstone Citizens Advice Bureau.
The Maidstone Link was opened in February 2017 and has a modern look and feel to it. Maidstone Borough Council provides 4 computers for you to use to access our website only, as well as 4 self-serve tablets for you to use to apply for Parking Permits and upload pictures of your documents for Housing, Benefits and Council Tax. This means that there are no longer large queues for you to wait to have your documents scanned.
Alternatively you can upload your documents from home using the same process that is in the Maidstone Link. You’ll just need a camera on your phone/tablet or a scanner.
If you cannot complete your service or transaction online or by phone, the address for the Maidstone Link is:
Maidstone Link, King Street, Maidstone, ME14 1FW
Services inside the Link
Look out for our staff walking around the floor. They are there to answer your questions or point you in the right direction if needs be. They can show you how to connect to our Free WiFi on your mobile phone and how to use our website. If you think that you may need extra support in something that will take up a lot of time, please call us to let us know. This means that we can be prepared with extra staff for you when you come in.
Maidstone Citizens Advice Bureau
The Maidstone CAB offer certain appointments from the Link for their customers. These must be booked in advance by calling them on 01622 767661. They also offer a walk-in advice centre at their office:
We have two unisex public toilets available for use, which also have a baby changing station inside. In addition we have a disabled access toilet too, suitable for wheelchair users.
You are able to purchase a radar key from a staff member in the Maidstone Link. You will need to bring with you proof of your disability (like your PIP or DLA letter) in order for us to sell you a key. They cost £3.50 and will need to be paid with cash.
Payments inside the Link
We have two self-serve payment kiosks located at the roof-top car park entrance to the Maidstone Link. These accept cash only and can be used to pay your Council Tax, your invoice, your PCN (parking fine) and your Golding Home’s rent.
You cannot pay by card in the Maidstone Link.
If you wish to pay by card, then please use our secure online payment portal or call our 24 hour telephone line.
