Community safety campaigns
Kent Road Safety
Kent Road Safety highlights the risk of drink driving.
Alcohol affects everyone differently. It can depend on your weight, how much you’ve eaten, and your age.
Driving or attempting to drive while above the legal limit could result in a six-month prison sentence, along with a fine of up to £5,000 and a disqualification for at least 12 months.
Don't abuse the booze
'Don’t Abuse the Booze' is a two-year project which aims to tackle the issues arising from problem drinking.
The four main parts of the project are:
- Schools' Alcohol Education Programme
- Street-Work Programme
- Urban Blue Bus Town Centre Deployment
- Urban Blue Water Bottle Distribution
The White Ribbon campaign
The White Ribbon campaign (WRC) was set up to ensure men take more responsibility for reducing the level of violence against women.
To wear a White Ribbon is to pledge never to commit, excuse, or remain silent about male violence. Our message to men is to practice tolerance, respect, and kindness, and to stand up against male violence, bullying, and sexism in all forms.
