Maidstone 20/20 - The Council's Vision

 

The council has consulted on its vision for the borough is to become a 'Regional Capital at the heart of the Garden of England'. That means:

 

  • Good quality homes for all, well paid jobs and efficient transport links;
  • safe and sustainable communities with high quality parks, green spaces and countryside;
  • A place where people want to be and where they can live and enjoy their lives through a range of cultural and recreational activities;
  • Lifelong learning opportunities.

The vision contains a number of themes setting out what we are seeking to achieve over the next 15 years.
