Companion Passes

On 21 July 2008, the Committee considered the call-in of Cabinet's decision on the Travel Assistance for Disabled People scheme.  Following a detailed discussion, the Committee made a number of recommendations, most of which were agreed by Cabinet on 24 July 2008; the recommendations and the comments of the Cabinet can be viewed here.  The key outcome of the call-in was the reinstating of the companion bus pass, which allowed companions or carers of disabled residents to travel for free on buses in the Borough.
