Pavements - maintenance
Maidstone Borough Council is not responsible
for pavement maintenance.
This is the responsibility of Kent County
Council (KCC).
KCC look after more than 4,000 miles of
pavements, 2,700 bridges and hundreds of thousands of street
lights, signs and road drains.
Maintenance is either planned or responsive
and based on information the authority receives from:
- mechanical road surveys
- reports from our highway inspectors
- Kent County Council members
- district and parish councils
- the public.
If you notice a problem on any of Maidstone’s
pavements, please tell KCC about it using their
online fault reporting form or call them 24 hours a day on
08458 247 800.
