Transport - real time information
Real Time information removes the
uncertainty a passenger feels when waiting at the bus stop, by
providing accurate information about the arrival of services at
their stop. Providing confidence for passengers to make an informed
and smart choice to travel by public transport.
How does it work?
Buses are tracked using satellites to
pinpoint their location and it is then calculated how long each bus
will take to arrive at your stop.
How can I access the
information?
You can access Real Time:
• By Mobile Phone – Here you
can search for a stop by town name, street name or postcode and
receive data for real time enabled service. Additionally, you can
also see scheduled information for non real time services.
• By the Internet – You can use
the service from a normal web browser. See above for more
information.
• At the bus stop – there are a number
of displays throughout Maidstone which count down bus arrival
times in minutes on real time enabled routes.
