What is the Residents Parking Scheme?

A Residents Parking Scheme is a way in which parking within a
defined area is limited to residents and employees of businesses of
that scheme area and their visitors. These areas are clearly marked
with signs to inform drivers of the restrictions and regularly
patrolled by the Civil Enforcement Officers to protect the
integrity of the scheme for its residents. Schemes are only
introduced where there is a clear need for restricting parking in
an area to residents, employees of local businesess and their
visitors and following consultation and where a majority are in
favour of a scheme.
Who can apply for a permit?
1st permit - £25
2nd permit - £25 (where resident is eligible
