High Speed Rail Service Discounted Parking

Maidstone Borough Council is introducing a new service exclusive to users of the High Speed Rail Service for all day parking in Barker Road car park for only £2.70 a day.

This service will involve purchasing a pay and display ticket for up to 4 hours parking (£2.70), displaying the purchased ticket as normal in your front windscreen, purchasing the relevant rail ticket from Southeastern Rail ticket office and registering for all day parking by texting your vehicle registration number and rail ticket (or Season Ticket) number to 07717 665627 before expiry of the purchased ticket.

This new service will begin from May 24th 2011 and these parking concessions are non transferable and redeemable only on the day of rail travel, Monday to Friday.

Overnight Charges

If you are parking before 6.30pm and need to stay beyond 6.30pm, you need to pay for the remainder of the daytime charge plus the £1.50 overnight charge.

If you are parking after 6.30pm only and will leave the car park before 8am the following morning, then you must pay the £1.50 overnight charge only.

These charges apply in all car parks except in the King Street Multi-Storey car park where the five hours + charge will enable you to park all day or in Lockmeadow car park where charges do not apply between 6.30pm and 8am.

Please note: Charges apply at all times and all days except Christmas Day where the overnight charge is in place.

Height barriers

Height barriers are installed for the prevention of large vehicles, motorhomes and caravans from accessing our car parks as such vehicles due to their sizes would find difficulty in parking within the bay markings.

Therefore the barriers are designed to exclude vehicles more than 2 metres (6'6") in height, however they may be opened if needed for access or maintenance works by prior arrangement.
