Maidstone Borough Council.
It's quick and easy but if you decide not to continue, you can do so at any time by
clicking on the 'Cancel' button. this will delete all the details
you have entered.

How We Protect Your Information
We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, a standard
supported by major internet browsers. All your personal and card
details are protected using 128 bit encryption, when transmitted
over the Internet.
How to verify that you are communicating to a secure site
Look for https:// in the location bar of your web browser. The
's' in https indicates a secure web address. Look for a closed
padlock icon at the bottom of your browser window. This indicates
that a secure session is taking place.
How to Make a Payment
Have the paper work with your account information to hand
Click on the link for the service or penalty you wish to
pay
- Enter the account number, invoice number, or Penalty Charge
Notice number as shown on the document
- Enter your name
- Enter your house number or house name
- Enter your postcode
- Enter the amount you wish to pay
- You will be then taken to the 'Payment Basket Details'
screen
Payment Basket Details
This online payment system uses a virtual shopping basket where you
can add further payments. You can then pay for all the payments
with one transaction.
You will see the current payment details.
To add another payment click the ‘Add another Item’ button, and
follow the same steps as before.
You can delete any one of these payments by pressing the ‘Delete’
button.
When you are ready to pay for these items in the basket click the
‘Continue’ button. This will take you through to the card payment
screen.

Enter your Debit/Credit card number (debit cards only for NNDR and
Council Tax)
The Name on the card
An email address for the receipt
Enter the Expiry Date
If your card has an Issue Number enter it exactly as it
appears on the card - if it is 03 type 03, if it is
3 type 3.
Enter the Start date if relevant
Click the ‘Continue’ Button to proceed to the payment confirmation
screen
Payment Confirmation Screen
This screen displays a list of the payment(s) you are making and
some of the details you have given for your payment
card.
If you are happy press the ‘Make a Payment’ button,
once.
The system
then connects to the bank to authorise the transaction.
When this is complete you are presented with a transaction
reference, authorisation code, date and time of transaction. This
is your receipt. You may print this out if you wish. These details
are sent to the email address you entered previously.
Click the ‘End Payment Process’ button to complete the
transaction.
Council Tax
Your Account Number is your reference number which you will be
able to find on your Payment Bill.
NNDR
Your Account Number is your reference number which you will be
able to find on your Payment Bill.
Housing Benefit Overpayments
Your Account Number is your reference number which you will be
able to find on your Payment Bill.
Sundry Debts
Your Account Number is the number you will find on your Invoice
and begins with a six.
Penalty Charge Notice
Your Penalty Charge Number is the number which you will be able
to find on the Penalty Charge Notice that you have been issued
with. The PCN (Penalty Charge Number) starts with the letters MD.
Please note that on the payments screen the first two digits (MD)
have been entered for you.
