Building Surveying

Building Surveying

Maidstone Council Building Control seeks to ensure high standards in construction work to protect the health and safety of people in or around buildings, ensure the requirements of people with disabilities are met and to tackle the key contributors to climate change
Building Regulation approval is a different matter to obtaining planning permission for your work. Similarly receiving any planning permission that your work may require is not the same as taking action to ensure that it complies with the Building Regulations.
A link to the Planning Portal Website can be found on the right. This is an excellent source of answers to frequently asked questions and includes an interactive house to help you determine whether your work requires Building Regulation and/or planning approval. Alternatively visit Maidstone Council Development Team WebPages.

Download application forms and approved documents.
