Business directory launch

A new directory will help businesses in Maidstone find more work and get the advice they need.

Maidstone council is launching its business directory, which aims to help support businesses in the recession.

Council Leader, Cllr Chris Garland, said: “The directory provides information and contact details of more than 2,500 businesses in Maidstone. It’s a great way to source many of the support organisations that help existing and new businesses in and around Maidstone.”

Maidstone Borough Council is working hard to encourage companies to invest in the area. With such great transport advantages, quality premises, an excellent choice of housing, a high level of skilled labour and excellent sites to develop new businesses and expand existing ones.

Cllr Garland added: “Maidstone council’s vision for the borough is to develop a vibrant economy and create prosperity and opportunities for all. We are creating an ambitious programme of regeneration focusing on the physical redevelopment of key town centre sites including a multi-million pound transformation of the town centre’s public realm.”

The Maidstone Business Directory comes with comes with a CD-ROM which holds the business information in an electronic format.

The CD can be upgraded to a powerful business support and marketing tool enabling users to compile and print reports, perform mailshots, print address labels and much more.
