Sports, clubs and centres
Community development plays an important role at Maidstone
Borough Council, supporting sport and physical activity in the
borough.
The community development team aims
to provide sporting and play opportunities to the community,
young disabled people, schools and sports clubs.
The team
- offer support to local clubs,
- help create links between the community and schools,
- promote mass participation for local people,
- work to improve the sporting facilities available and
- highlight the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
