important to ensure that you are eating a balanced diet, consisting
of the 5 main food groups;
- Fruit and Vegetable (30%)
- Starchy foods (30%)
- Meat Fish Eggs and Beans (16%)
- Milk and Dairy (16%)
- Fat and Sugar (8%)
Each of these food groups should combine to make up our daily
intake – in order to have a healthy balanced diet we should be aim
for the suggested percentages for each.

obese. This means many of us are eating more than we need, and
should eat and drink fewer calories in order to lose weight.
