If you're looking for a job with Maidstone Borough Council then the following questions and answers may help you.

How will I know if I have been shortlisted for an interview?

The council’s policy is not to contact unsuccessful candidates.  If you have not received an invite to interview within four weeks then unfortunately you will not have been shortlisted for interview.

What formats does the application form come in? 

The council’s would prefer all applicants to apply on line but if there is a requirement to provide a copy in large print, braille or an alternative language then please contact the HR Section direct and we will be pleased to assist.

How will I know if you have received my application form? 

If you have completed the an online application then you will receive confirmation that your application has been submitted.  The Council’s policy is not to contact applicants to confirm receipt, although you may contact the HR Section to seek confirmation of receipt of application.

Can I apply for more than one job with Maidstone Borough Council?

The council would welcome applications for any advertised position.

Does Maidstone Borough Council accept CVs?

Yes, although it is important that all submitted CVs cover all the required person specification requirements in order for Recruiting Manager to shortlist the applicant.

Can I request a printed application pack?

The council preferred method of application is online but you can request a hardcopy pack by calling 01622 602555.

I have tried to complete the application online but there seems to be a problem?

Email HR at InternalRecruitmentTeam@maidstone.gov.uk or call 01622 602555.

I requested an application pack but have not yet received it?

If the closing date is within the next couple of days please apply online or call 01622 602555 and request that a pack is sent via email.

Can I speak to someone about the job vacancy?

Please contact the Recruiting Manager direct.  The contact details are published on the advert.

I was informed that there was a suitable advert for a position at Maidstone Borough Council but cannot find it on the website?

All council vacancies are advertised on this website.  If a position is not advertised here then it may well be for a position at another local authority, the advert has closed or has not yet been published.  Please call 01622 602555 to clarify our current job vacancy list.
