The former Maidstone Gateway building has been being refurbished since September 2016. It will now be reopened on February 13 2017 as the Maidstone Link. This is in partnership with the Job Centre Plus (JCP) and the Citizen's Advice Bureau (CAB).
The name 'Maidstone Link' was selected for its emphasis on being connected. The name was chosen by council and JCP staff.
The building now has improved self-service areas and meeting rooms, as well as a new mezzanine floor. This gives the building a more modern look, as well as allowing us to use the building more efficiently.
Now you can also scan and send your own documents instead of having to wait for an advisor or upload them using our online form.
Residents will still be able to pay by cash using the self-service payment kiosks.
For more information visit our Support Centre or use our Contact Us form. If your question is regarding the JCP or CAB, visit the JCP website or visit the CAB website.

Leader of the Council, Cllr Fran Wilson:
“Bringing together all these services will mean residents will have access to a number of different organisations under one roof. This collaborative approach has already been successful in other areas of the country and I’m delighted we’re able to do the same in Maidstone.”
JCP team leader, Lynn Bignall:
“We're looking forward to moving into this new purpose built facility and sharing information and services with each other.’’
Chief Executive of Maidstone CAB, Bonny Malhotra:
“The Town Centre advice service has been very popular and busy ever since it started in 2009. We're very happy to return to a modern and purpose built facility to help many more Maidstone residents.”
