Once a booking has been taken, additions or changes can only be
made up to 11:00am on the day before the collection is due.

An item is classed as a single piece, less than 1.8m/6ft in
length, that 2 people can safely lift. So a three-piece suite would
be 3 items - a sofa and 2 armchairs. Any bulky garden rubbish
must be bundled and securely tied to enable two people to carry it
in a safe manner. Each bundle is counted as one item. Loose piles
of garden waste will not be collected. Any small items, such as
tiles, need to be put into sturdy containers, that 2 people can
safely lift.
Fridges, freezers, televisions and monitors can be collected
using the bulky collection service, however these will be collected
by a separate vehicle as these items cannot be crushed.
This service cannot be used for:
- Car parts and large items of machinery
- Hazardous waste - paint, oils, asbestos etc
- Builders rubble
- Any glass
- Any items that two people cannot lift safely
- Items more than 1.8m/6ft in length
- Plasterboard - this is
no longer accepted in bulky collections or by the
weekend freighter service due to the acid produced when landfilled.
Waste plasterboard and other hazardous items listed
above should be taken to the Household
Waste Recycling Centre in Tovil,
Maidstone.
