Make sure you're involved in the council's planning process

Maidstone Borough Council is preparing the local development framework (LDF) to guide planning and development across the borough. As part of the way it does this the council will review how it involves and consults the community.

The council has set up two ways to keep people in touch with what is going on and let them have the opportunity to comment on current plans.

Planning Forum

Stakeholders and representatives of local businesses and community groups have joined the Planning Forum to share experiences of the council's planning service and to act as a consultation body for the local development framework.

Planning Viewpoint

The local development framework system has brought with it a large amount of new guidance, legislation and documentation. To help keep people informed the council has created the Planning Viewpoint newsletter.
