Building control

Maidstone Council Building Control seeks to ensure high standards in construction work to protect the health and safety of people in or around buildings, ensure the requirements of people with disabilities are met and to tackle the key contributors to climate change.

Building Regulation approval is a different matter to obtaining planning permission for your work. Similarly receiving any planning permission that your work may require is not the same as taking action to ensure that it complies with the Building Regulations.

Please note fees will change on January 3, 2012.

	Submit-a-Plan is the LABC (Local Authority Building Control) National Portal for making electronic and offline Building Control applications to ANY Local Authority in England, Wales and Northern Ireland as well as reporting dangerous structures.
	The LABC promote the design and construction of safe, accessible, environmentally efficient buildings that comply with the Building Regulations.
	The Planning Portal is the UK Government's online planning and building regulations resource for England and Wales.
