Parks & Open Spaces
Improvement plans for Maidstone parks
Since 2005 Maidstone Borough Council has been carrying out a
programme of capital improvements to its parks and open spaces. The
programme includes work on the general infrastructure: paths,
seats, bins, gates, fences, tennis courts, car parks etc, as well
as the play areas and the vegetation.
Already on some of the sites, play areas have been refurbished
and summer meadows add interest to large open swathes of grass. The
resurfacing of tennis courts and of some of the car parks, and
planting of trees, will follow in the next phase. As the work
progresses, updates will appear on our website.
