Parks and Open Spaces

Welcome

Mote Park - Courtesy of Denise Tate

Maidstone's green spaces are important.

They:

Make the town and villages more pleasant to live and work.

Give us somewhere to stroll, jog, meet friends, walk the dog, or just sit and relax.

Give our children somewhere to have fun, exercise and play.

Feature plenty of trees to cleanse the air and give us welcome cool shade on hot days.

Provide a home to a variety of wildlife.

In order to ensure that the provision matches the needs of Maidstone residents and visitors, we regularly carry out public consultation on proposed improvements to green areas within the borough.

Following the adoption of the Green Spaces Strategy in 2005, many parks and recreation grounds in Maidstone have benefited from new and improved facilities. For more details click here.
