Council Performance

Performance Results

The Council reports progress on a range of Government led performance indicators as well as a number of locally set indicators to support local priorites. These are reported quarterly to Cabinet and an annual plan, known as the Best Value Performance Plan (BVPP) s produced each year containing all out performance out-turns for the year and to set performance indicators and targets for the next three years.

Our most recent Performance Plan was agreed by Cabinet in July 2009 containing actual out-turn for the 2008-09 financial year and targets for 2009/10 to 2011/12. The next Performance Plan is due to be agreed by cabinet in July 2011.

Please see below for links to quarterly performance reports for 2008/09 and the previous year's Best Value Performance Plan (2007/08 out-turns).

Internally the Council maintains performance through the Excelsis Performance Management system, with monthly targets set for each of the 40 teams across the Council.

All performance out-turns are required to be calculated and produced in line with the Council's Data Quality Policy, this is reviewed on an annual basis and officers are required to sign a checklist confirming that the data they have provided adheres to this policy.

In addition to performance indicators the Council is also required to undertake satisfaction surveys where residents are asked for their views on the Council, the services provided and whether they have improved. The latest results can be found below:
