Consultation - Service Delivery
Consultation and Community Engagement
Maidstone Borough Council is committed to giving the
community opportunities to have a say in what happens in the town
and to become more active in decision making.
Why is it important?
To provide the best services possible it is important that we
talk to communities and get their views on service delivery and
neighbourhood problems so we can tackle them together. Giving
communities a stronger voice helps build trust and promotes
positive change in neighbourhoods. If you would like to know more
about the Council's consultation strategy please read the borough's
Communications & Consultation
Strategy for further information.
Getting involved
There are times when the council will actively seek views and
opinions but it also receives comments from residents and customers
daily in a variety of different means. The information given to us
by residents and customers is equally as valuable to as those views
we deliberately seek. Whether it is a concern raised about service
or area of the borough or a compliment about a member of staff, all
this information forms the basis of our service improvement and
policy-making approach.
There are many different ways you can get involved
including:
- Taking part in local
consultations
- Attend your local Ward
Committee
- Let us have your comments, compliments or
complaints
- Get involved in a local group
Check out the
Consultation Toolkit to see how we consult with you.
On this website you will find another page which shows our
consultation timetable and the consultations which are currently in
progress.
