There are several organisations relating to support/self
help.
Samaritans is available 24 hours a
day to provide confidential emotional support for people who are
experiencing feelings of distress or despair.
Maidstone Mind
provides local, informal, discreet and accessible support and
information for anyone who is experiencing mental and emotional
difficulties.
DementiaWeb is a website
that provides information and support for people based in
Kent who are caring for people with dementia.
The Men's Advice
Line is a confidential helpline for all men experiencing
domestic violence by a current or ex-partner. This includes all men
- in heterosexual or same-sex relationships.

Are you experiencing domestic violence?
Do you know of someone who is experiencing abuse and may need help
and support?
The Freephone 24 Hour National Domestic Violence Helpline, run
in partnership between Women's Aid and Refuge, is a national
service for women experiencing domestic violence, their family,
friends, colleagues and others calling on their behalf. The
Helpline is staffed 24 hours a day by fully trained female helpline
support workers and volunteers. All calls are completely
confidential. Translation facilities for callers whose first
language is not English, and a service for callers who are deaf or
hard of hearing are available.
