are given to widen the use of village halls. Typically the trust
funds services to the community eg. Day centres, surgeries, healthy

education, training and support of people disadvantaged by their

Lloyds TSB Foundation
The Lloyds TSB Foundation is one of the largest grant-giving
charitable trusts in the country with an annual budget of over £1m
in the South East.

The D'Oyly Carte Charitable Trust
Funds registered charities operating within the United Kingdom.
Most grants are allocated on a one off basis but funding of up to
three years may be possible in certain circumstances i.e. new
charities.
The main areas of support are: Arts (e.g. arts education for
young people); Medical Welfare (e.g. music and art therapy for
older and disabled people, support and respite for carers);
Environment (e.g. conservation).
Most grants are for between £1,000-£5,000 though occasionally
more is granted. Applications are considered in March, July and
November. Bidders should write to the Secretary with an outline
proposal, or telephone for guidance.
