Maidstone Market has a prime location in Maidstone town centre -
only a few minutes walk from the High Street, bus and train
station.
Located at Lockmeadow Leisure Complex, the market has a vibrant
and lively shopping atmosphere, offering a variety of products at
great value for money.
It's a great place to get your weekly groceries, clothing,
electrical equipment, plants, books, magazines, children's toys,
pet accessories and seasonal gifts. Stallholders are extremely
friendly and welcoming and are always willing to offer help and
advice when needed.
People from all over Kent have been coming to the county town
market since 1548. Once a central meeting place for local produce
and wares, the market has adapted itself over the years from being
a cattle market to the buzzing place it is today.
Throughout the week there are numerous events held within the
Market Hall, including household auctions, vintage toy fairs,
family history fairs, boot fairs, dog shows, bird and reptile shows
and many other events.
