Future Jobs Fund
Maidstone Borough Council is calling
on all businesses, public sector and voluntary organisations to get
involved in helping young people find a future following the launch
of Maidstone’s Future Jobs Fund project. Working on behalf of the
Maidstone Local Strategic Partnership and in collaboration with
Kent County Council, Maidstone Borough Council has set up a project
to help employers create a job and fund a young person who is
currently unemployed and help them gain valuable work experience,
on the job skills development and training.
Up to £6,300 is available per new job
created from The Future Jobs Fund programme for local businesses,
public or voluntary organisation to employ a young person between
the ages of 18 – 24. To apply for these positions young
people needs to have been on job seekers allowance for around 12
months and must be registered with Job Centre Plus. Unemployed
people living in
unemployment hotspots are also eligible.
