Council Tax - how to pay

The amount of Council Tax you have to pay is shown on your bill. 

You can pay your Council Tax bill online.

To pay over the telephone, call our automated 24-hour telephone service on 01622 602544 to make your payment by debit card. You will need to have your reference number and know how much you want to pay available.

Alternatively you can pay in person at the Maidstone Gateway, King Street, Maidstone, Kent, ME15 6JQ.

There is no charge made for making payments at the payment kiosks in the Gateway.

Internet/EBanking, Standing or Bankers Orders should quote sort code 57-30-28 and your Council Tax account number shown on your bill.

Cheques - Cheques should be made payable to "Maidstone Borough Council'' and crossed. Please note - receipts will not be issued, you will need to check your bank statement for clearance.
