The Student Awards Group office at Bishops Terrace is open between Monday and Friday, 9am - 12pm and 2pm - 4pm.
No appointment is necessary.

By post

It may be necessary for a student, parent, or partner/spouse to forward original documentation, such as birth or marriage certificates to us.  If you wish to have the document returned by Recorded or Special Delivery, you must include a pre-paid Recorded or Special Delivery label for this purpose.

By telephone

If you need to telephone the Student Awards Group, our telephone lines are open Monday to Friday, 10am - 4pm.

However, during Student Awards Group's busy period, April 1 to October 31, it will be necessary for the office to reduce its telephone opening times, due to the sheer volume of work.

Please note: The letter of the alphabet your surname begins with dictates which telephone number you should use.

Please make sure that you have your Customer Reference Number and Secret Answer to hand when calling (if you have been supplied with them) as Kent County Council must now authenticate their callers.  Guidance on accessing your student finance account: passwords, IDs and security is available on the Directgov website.  If you do not have your Customer Reference Number and Secret Answer, then we will try to authenticate your call in another way, but this may mean that we will only be able to give a limited answer to your questions. Authentication has been brought in to the Authority's practice of work to protect their callers, as well as the Authority itself.
